Quote
Weinman, set to begin his seventh year with the Bulls, was previously the team’s Manager of Basketball Operations and Analytics, after spending two years working for the NBA. In his new role, Weinman will continue to manage the team’s salary cap and oversee the organization’s planning for future initiatives, while remaining the team’s lead for all basketball analytics efforts. Weinman will also shift his focus toward pro scouting and draft personnel.

I still remember Steve getting his internship in the league office. He’s one of the best guys I’ve met, CelticsBlog-related or otherwise.

Steve's an awesome guy.  Works his tail off & bright as heck.

I still try & meet up with him whenever I get over to United Center for a game.  Usually when the Celtics are in town.  He always seems to find time.  Great guy.   It's awesome to follow his progress as he moves up the ranks in the NBA.

Never got to meet Steve but always talked up D-League guys with him after he left here to cover that league. Just an outstanding guy.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Yeah great guy and absolutely brilliant. I just meant “pretty wild” because he was such a frequent poster here for a few years and now he’s just one step away from running an NBA franchise. It’s like, careful who yo argue with around here, haha.

I'm sure the C's would like Lauri Markannen for cheap Steve ;)

Big congrats in all seriousness, that's huge

Chris Wallace publicly made a post to say goodbye, and current members of the front office have reached out to provide feedback. Forums may be a dying medium, but I’m very proud of ours.

I could see Kevin O'Connor someday get into professional scouting with a team and building from there. He had some good insights and excellent stats.
