That was great drafting.

Did someone say "Great Drafting?"

Round 1

Best Pick: Champkind (10) Dwayne Wade. I almost skipped the 1st round because of the gulf between choosing 1-5 and 25-30. But I feel secure in giving the nod to Champ, who took Wade when his value was at it's lowest, and was reward with an MVP worthy campaign.

Honorable Mention: IndeedProceed (30) Brandon Roy and Celticmaestro (24) Kevin Durant. By the way, Maestro, thanks for leaving me in the lurch with a last minute trade inspired by the hours of controversy surrounding the 1st pick. Scrambling, I made the selection that may qualify as...

Wort Pick: The Walker Wiggle (25) Gilbert Arenas. Although he did look good in his end of season "exhibition." And I actually think Motrossity is more deserving of this thumbs down for missing TWO selection times and ending up with (20) Tyson Chandler and an off year (22) Baron Davis.

I think the GM who got Aaron Brooks in the 10th round did pretty good.  ;)

Round 2

Best Pick: The consensus choice, Gainesville Celtic (28) Danny Granger.

Worst Pick: The question is how to balance injury prone players like (4) Tracy McGrady, Scribbles, against short term disappointments such as (5) Michael Beasley, Redz. In the end I choose unLucky17 since it took him two top 10 picks to get a full 82 games worth of uneven production: (3) Michael Redd, 33 games (9) Luol Deng, 49 games.

Split the topic, assumed we'd get some legs out of it.

I can get extra bad pick credit for taking Beasley since I essentially made a trade to make him my first pick (and was ok with that).

Good thing I traded Redd then. We're hoping for a rebound year from Luol.

Ya in Hindsight, but I think he was a very solid pick at the time and I dont think anybody could blam you.  Everybody thought he was gonna be a stud.  And who knows, he still might be.  what is he 19?

We'll discuss it after class.

Also, nominations for Round 2: Honorable Mention are welcome.

Ha! Er, it was all IP's idea?

(I've done some questionable post work in my time on the forums, but this is still a first for me...)

It has the Magics listed since i traded for him, but someone else drafted Billups at 2.7 ---- IMO Billups deserved MVP votes this season for Denver.

other than that Derrick Rose at #23 ended up being pretty good.
