anybody who thinks the Spurs are gonna beat this Laker team in the playoffs is totally wishful thinking.  What answer do they have for Kobe again??  That's a 6 game laker win.  We need to worry about finding back ups for Pierce and or Allen.  Foul trouble will happen against Lebron and Wade too.  Kinda wish Tony Allen were still here.  Guess that extra year and 3 million was too much for Danny. Sunday scares me,  alot.

I hate the Lakers so much [dang] really wish we would have taken this one gotta go out with only 7 players against the Heat not a good thing. Really need to make a deal when the deadline comes for a scorer off the bench. I really hope someone like Rip comes to Boston so we can have someone who is reliable. Nate isn't, BBD hasn't played well in awhile in my eyes, Von isn't reliable, West will be when is back but will taking the ball up and have to dish it out instead of spot up shooting. I just hope Danny can pull something outta you know where for a good player.

  • Thank you Eddie!
This is an easy 10+ win if the Celtics had half of their bench.  The rest of the regular season is going to suck unless Sheed comes back and Danny somehow ships Nate or Jermaine O'Neal's corpse for someone like Hamilton.

Frustrating but not much to take out of this game, the Lakers should have won and easily since they were playing 12 against 7.

Hope we will have more bodies against the Heat though, although I doubt it. Good night everybody.

i can live with von/West as a back up for ray...we gotta find a LEGIT SF that can defend Lebron and Kobe. that is the key to boston's run...period

Right now, I think weŽll see a Mavericks - Celtics finals.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

and in the end we D them up well but our offense cannot hit the broad sign of a barn after the first quarter and a half.

that game had a strange feel to it - just hate, hate, hate the way we were carving them up in the first half and then we lose focu for a few minutes and allow the lakers to work their way back in. (nauseating)

Delonte can't come back sooner..

Danny should seriously consider adding a backup SF asap. No point waiting for Marquis...homecourt advantage is very important...we can't expect them to go on a similar playoffs run like last year.

Game 7 all over again.
Ray's night ruined  :'( as Celtics fans file out before the game is even over

Bad calls on both ends, really. I don't think Ray's night was ruined, though. Ray now owns an NBA record that may never (who knows?) be broken. That is pretty special in and of itself.

We'll be back...

  • It's not hard to work hard.
Also, agree 100% that there is no reason to whine and cry right now.

Nobody here cares if we win 62 games or 58, and don't give me that nonsense that we can't beat the Heat in a 7 game series without HCA. Miami *has no* HCA. We can win 2 games there in a playoff series.

And the Lakers aren't going to be top seed either. So let's suck it up and remember that it's a long haul to the Finals.

I'm still extremely proud of this team...Wafer played well, Ray with the record....Nate/Shaq/Semih/Marquis/JO/West not playing.

Not a bad game, considering.

Me neither, Man.

But I think the reality of Jan 30, 2011 is more likely to happen once we get Marquis, Delonte, and Shaq back.

JO and Nate will help, too.

Remember last year? It seems like we were banged up pretty bad then, too.

And then we got healthy right before the playoffs.

This time? I think the All-Star Break will be our resting period.

Totally agree. I believe Boston will have a backup SF by the end of next week. I am hoping for Shane or Rip to be a part of the Boston Celtics by the end of all star weekend.

EXACTLY...anyone who thinks daniels is coming back and contributing is fooling themselves...he and JO are nonfactors....they need to get a SF
