After some wheeling and dealing, we are happy to say that the Detroit Pistons are getting their man.

10x All-Star
11x All NBA Teams
5x All NBA Defensive Teams
9x Assist leader for the season
2x Steals leader for the season
All time leader in Assists
All time leader in Steals

One of, if not the most underrated and overlooked superstar this game as ever seen.

For the first pick, int the third round of the 2019 Historical Draft, the MoTown Pistons are ECSTATIC to select John Stockton.

:-\ I thought it was the other great point guard of that build. Decent pick nonetheless, the fit is good.

Solid pick Yoki. I would have liked it a lot more had you not traded so much away to get up there though as there are still several very good point guards left I think you could have landed at your previous draft positions in this round.

Great perimeter defense, now let's see how you fill out that frontcourt. Team needs a little more scoring when looked at in comparison with the other teams so far.

Nice pick, you've built yourself one heck of a backcourt. Interested to see how you fill this team out with bigs

I really targeted him, as I think he's the only PG left who can boast the defensive acumen that he has, and would not prevent neither Kawhi Leonard or John Havlicek from losing touches. He's also a good shooter, which would fit the modern game rules.

I just love how he fits with my core two, and I was willing to give up a high price to get him.

Stockton - Hondo - Kawhi. We now have a triumvirate of terrific defenders, quiet but killer superstars. Love where we are right now.

Stockton is a strong pickup. Ensures everyone is involved, makes sure you take good care of the ball and take good shots each trip down. Good thing to have on teams full of scorers.

Based on fit, this one was too hard for me to pass up.

Who better to play alongside one of the new contenders for GOAT than the guy who played alongside the undisputed GOAT for 6 championships?

With 3(2) the Boston Celtics select:

7 time all star, 10 time all defense, and 6 time champion (And one of the most criminally underrated players ever)

It's his shooting that made me went for him. He will fit within the modern rules. That, along with his tenacious defense and unselfishness makes him perfect for my squad.

Yeah I figured, just thought that there was an option who would've supercharged your offense at the cost of defense (which would've been covered by Hondo and Kawhi anyways lol).

I had him just a little behind Kawhi.

As for fit though... Is LeBron playing (more importantly defending) PF? Or PG? Or Scottie defending SG?

He was my backup plan at 3.3 before I was able to trade for the 1st pick.

Or Scottie playing PG. I was thinking about that one with my team.

I've definitely toyed around with LeBron playing and guarding the point (It would be tough to put him at PF against guys like Duncan/Malone. A lot of that will depend on who becomes available in the next few rounds for me to fill out my starting lineup. Scottie or LeBron could basically defend any non center, so I'm liking the flexibility this pick continues to allow me to have.

I was so close to picking him in the 2nd round, I literally flipped a coin between him and Dr. J.

Pippen was my main target this round, though I didn't think he would drop to my spot.  I think he would have been tremendous with Magic and Moses.  Oh well, on to the next great player to pair with them.
