If I haven't miss counted, there is currently 26 former Boston Celtics currently playing in the NBA. I think this is truely a testament to the work of the front office and coaches, that they can identify quality and obviously teach players correctly, because teams are ready to snap up any player that has been through our system.

- Zeller, Tyler
- Lee, Courtney
- Bayless, Jerryd
- Jackson, Demetrius
- Johnson, Amir
- Young, James
- Crowder, Jae
- Green, Jeff
- Thomas, Isaiah
- Žižić, Ante (G-League)
- Bradley, Avery
- Jefferson, Al
- Terry, Jason
- Mickey, Jordan
- Olynyk, Kelly
- Turner, Evan
- Jerebko, Jonas
- Johnson, Joe
- Dwight Powell (G-League)
- Hunter, R. J.
- Green, Gerald
- Wright, Brandan
- Allen, Tony
- Moore, E'Twaun
- Nelson, Jameer

Okay, so how does this compare to other teams?  Without that info one can’t even begin to understand the significance of having 26 former players in the league.

And what is the significance of including guys like jammer Nelson and brandan Wright, guys that were barely Celtics?

Yeah it's partly a testament to the front office but also very much a testament to how many players we've cycled through during the rebuild.

The better testament could be players we developed instead of guys who just passed through while Danny was shuffling his chips.
