I sure as hell hope that there is a third party involved if this DAL rumor is true.
I would guess this is why the deal has yet to be completed. I'm trying to think of what contending team could use a player like Brandan Wright coming off their bench.

PHX for IT?

I'd hope we could pry Bledsoe if it was PHX. A Smart Bledsoe backcourt would be great if an extended rebuild is the path we're seamlessly heading toward

I think Bledsoe is off limits but Ainge has certainly expressed interest in IT before and he has a pretty friendly contract.

Not really sure how I personally feel about the fit of IT. I think the C's want to utilize Smart as a PG especially if Rondo is gone. IT is useless in any other role due to size

Sac said that they've had talks about Rondo "in the past", but the price is too high so they haven't reengaged. That's not quite the same thing, and there's no telling when it really was. Could have been back on draft day.

That's how I feel. I love Rondo. I wish we could have gotten Love this off-season and paired them up for years to come... but if we get a good offer it may be the time (not the awful Wright rumor)

Wright and Jae Crowder and a 1st round pick (one which will be low)?

*sigh*

Saw someone post this earlier , wright to cle and maybe cle gets their 1st rd pick back , c's get waiters

I'd probably be able to stomach Waiters and multiple firsts... just not Brandon Wright on a rebuilding team as the centerpiece of a Rondo trade

I hear you. Its really all about the picks. B. Wright is basically a throw in, nothing more. Im more excited by the Jordan Hill rumor, but only slightly....

I remember when Boston was proclaimed the frontrunner when a Asik deal was deemed imminent.  Ultimately, no deal was made because no one met Morey's price.  This feels similar, so I think Ainge holds firm to his demands and is probably as willing to let Rondo walk for nothing as Morey was willing to risk losing Parsons in free agency.

Tells me if a trade goes down it'll be better than Wright and a first in some way... because the Kings could match that offer without giving up McLemore, though I bet he's a demand in any trade with Sac and they feel it's too high.

Dallas is emerging as the frontrunner in pursuit of a deal to acquire Boston's Rajon Rondo, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

god I hope this doesnt happen

Dont expect Rondo to play Fri as a Celt.

I wouldn't get your hopes up too high.  If Rondo is going to go, I expect some patience from Danny.  He'll wait to get the best offer possible.

Remember when people on this board were calling Flip Saunders an idiot for not trading Kevin Love back when he was getting early offers?  Well, he ended up getting a pretty good return down the line.
