  • Everyone's excited for the new era.
Anyone just hear Doc?  They were showing highlights of the Spain game, and Pau Gasol ran the floor to get an outlet pass for the and-1 lay-in.

Doc said, "Yeah, that's what he does.  And he's(Gasol) probably thinking, 'It's nice to get rewarded every once in awhile!'"

Doc with the shot at Kobe!  I love it!   ;D

Perhaps it makes me a bad person but I find the idea that multiple teams were trying to throw badminton matches pretty hilarious (a bit sad too).

Anyone watching the US vs. Nigeria? Melo's got 10 threes, 37 points in the third. He's 10-13 from 3. Crazy.

Just checked the box score, it was actually 10-12 from 3, 13-16 overall.

It's amazing how an obvious majority of swimming wins come in lane four ... some hydrophysics at play here somehow?

I know the top qualifiers get the center lanes, but this is beyond coincidence.

Top qualifiers get lane 4.  If you're the top qualifier, you are most likey one of the best anyway.  Plus, the wake createted from the middle lanes works slightly against outside swimmers.  Swimming can be won by thousanths of seconds, every little edge matters.

I find it hilarious there have been two nip slips in these olympics, and even more hilarious the amount of coverage it recieved in the media.

The top 2 swimmers from the semi-finals get lanes 4 and 5 respectively. Those are the best swimmers, so they win most of the time.

Besides the record breaking victory VS nigeria there were a couple of other very interesting games last night.

men`s volleyball USA-Brazil 3-1
without stars team USA remains very very strong although i doubt they can repeat. Poland is too strong

men`s water polo montenegro-serbia 11-11
amazing game.... if you have the chance sit and watch it
this could easily be the final. Only croatia can break this couple

I feel bad for Morgan Uceny, who repeated in a way that I wouldn't wish on anyone, and not remotely her doing ...

... I think sometimes more character is produced by failure than by success, especially in sports.

Blessings for her future.
