We actually might get the pick back! YES! Although, can't imagine management's relationship with IT is going to be good.
I seriously doubt it. We are probably going to have to give up another pick or 2 to the cavs. Renegotiation is likely

This raises a lot of questions.

What if player X tanks a physical to void a trade? Who decides whether player X passed or failed a physical. Is there an objective standard that can be resolved by having an independent examiner if the parties to the trade disagree? Who determines the minimum standard for passing the physical?

Interesting .... Where is Dann... errr I mean Saltlover?

Why do I feel like Thomas is going to need surgery and never will be in a Boston uniform again regardless of this trade

If they want another pick they can have a second rounder and we'll keep IT. Send them someone not making much money. T Rozier and Semi O and Kadeem Allen. Theis?

The worst part is we have to do it now... voiding this trade would be awful for the Celts, far worse than giving up another pick...

And the lesson in this one folks is it's foolish in this day and age for a pro athlete to play when he's injured. IT may have cost himself an awful lot of money by not shutting it down when his hip started hurting.

Or he will suddenly feel better at the start of the regular season in a Celts uniform

Can't imagine anything comes of this unless the Celtics were hiding something.  But neither team wants to void this deal.  Cleveland doesn't want an angry Kyrie back either - and while it's true that they could retrade him, they likely aren't getting a better asset than that Nets pick from anybody else.

Thomas and crowder coming back? No the thanks. Imagine if Thomas's injury forces him to stay in Boston and he can't play. That means smart or rozier starts. Just brutal

I'm a bit confused... how can you trade for a known injured player and then void the trade due to said injury... Thomas' hip was not hidden from Cavs when decision was made.

What a skewed perspective.  He should be appreciated for playing through that pain and putting us on his back to the ECF, through all sorts of ****.

The whole world knew IT had medical issues so regardless their doctors were going to check him out prior to any deal. No way Ainge could purposely try to hide something.
