  • GOT IT!!!
Ainge will look like a complete idiot if this trade gets voided. Essentially stuck with a disgruntled player with very little trade value. smh
hardly. both sides would be involved since both sides made the agreement.

Wouldn't be to hard to still trade Kyrie.

He'd willingly play through pain this season for a chance to contend and legitimize his value.  He's probably gone after the season with LeBron.  I don't see why CLE would void the trade.

But if the trade fell through, would Ainge definitely need to trade IT elsewhere?

Thomas is not going to be ready for the start of the season. He is damaged goods. No way he is even close to last year. Cavs are going to get more out of Boston to just take him

Nobody is backing up the brinks truck for Thomas

Unless the Cavs' doctors found something very different than our own they'll look like idiots too, lose their coveted high draft pick, a great role player contract, a good C prospect, and be essentially stuck with a disgruntled player with much more trade value but feeling compelled to not move him without getting close to what we offered the first time.

Honestly I think the quality of the one year they'll likely get from IT is not going to ultimately sway them on this.

If they void it then we know it wasn't just about the pick.

I'm not buying any of this. Just posturing

We might end up sending out another pick in the end which would suck, though probably less than having this trade rescinded entirely. Feels like IT/Crowder aren't the types to bounce back from this sort of thing.

My current theory is they'll just try and angle for another first round pick.

What have been the recent voided deals? Motiejunas (for a draft pick) and Chandler are the only two I remember, and Chandler isn't that recent.

We actually might get the pick back! YES! Although, can't imagine management's relationship with IT is going to be good.

On second thought, this trade being rescinded would be even more of a cluster****. I want the pick (and Crowder) back, but a reversal would likely do more harm than good.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

I like Thomas. But he is not part of the future plans in Boston. Having to take him back would suck.
