I think Brewer would be a great addition to our team, and I think he is a better overall player than his stats let on. He was playing on a team running a triangle offense with no premier players.

I would say get:

Murphy.
Brewer.
Bibby.
I know most would disagree but I think Bibby could help us if he would agree to less minutes. Between him and DWest they could back up Rondo and Ray. You could reduce Ray's and Rondo's minutes to rest them (if we can keep winning this way) Then come playoffs you cut back on their minutes and Ray and Rondo are healthy. The we would have Murphy to fill in at the 4/5 to spread the floor and Brewer to help defend guys to rest P2 on the defensive end. If you ask me this sounds like a winning formula!

Derrick Rose Blake Griffin 4.11 5.3 5.15 6.11 7.15 8.11 9.15 10.11 11.15 12.11 13.15

Not sure why Brewer would come here to play 5-7 minutes a game.

I agree. Doesn't make much sense.

That's probably all he'll get on any team with a real chance to win the title.  Unless he wants to go to an 8th seed.

I like Brewer a lot.  I'd love to have him here.

If the Mavs are interested, though, I worry.  They can give the most money, by far.

Money-wise the Mavs are the most attractive team but he won't really fit there because he can't shoot (or not good/consistently enough). I think Boston and San Antonio are his most likely destinations in terms of playing time and contending teams.

But he won't learn to shoot in Boston or San Antonio.

Actually the fact that Dallas already has so many shooters makes him a good fit there. They could really use another wing defensive stopper. Ditto for the Spurs.

Yeah but the fact that they have already enough shooters means they won't play him much except in very limited situations/stretches
. And Dallas already has Stevenson as good defenser who can also shoot so I really think he doesn't make a lot of sense in Dallas if we're talking about playing time only.

Why? That doesn't make sense to me. He isn't a shooter - so you want to play him alongside shooters, not non-shooters. The fact that they have shooters will hide his lack of shooting. If he was a shooter, then yeah, it'd duplicate skills they already have.

Dallas should sign him and give him DeShawn's spot. Brewer is a fairly superior player.

The question is, who gets the minutes between Green and Brewer?

Green.

Teams do not trade starting C to get a towel waiver.

Thats what I hoped for, otherwise we traded perk for krstic and a first round pick. I feel like Green has alot of upside, but it would be interesting to possibly use Brewer as a defensive specialist when we play the Knicks or the Heat and Lakers

Celticsinorlando,

Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning or what??

You have no idea about the health of either O'Neal for the playoffs, do you????  No, you don't.  If they are 80% healthy, we are FINE at the C spot!!  Take a breath and chill out.

Well, I think he can get rotational minutes in teams like Dallas or San Antonio. Oh, and the Lakers, he'd be a terrific acquisition for Los Angeles.

In Boston, I don't even see where would those 5 minutes come from. He'd get some defensive possessions, but not a regular place in the rotation.

He would have been a nice pickup had we not traded Perk.
