Last season the Celtics beat the Sixers 3 straight times in the regular season.

Kyrie was not even playing in one of the 3 Celtic wins.

Then the Sixers traded for Toby Harris and Jim Butler.
Sixers finally beat the the Celtics in the 4th meeting of the season.

I think the law of diminishing returns is setting in.

Celts just have too many wings or guards and not enough quality bigs.

Everybody was healthy in the first game of the season when the Sixers and Celts played.
Celts lost.

This time the Celts had everybody healthy the Sixers were missing Embiid.
Celts still lost.

I think the problem is very obvious and it only gets magnified when the Celts are playing the Sixers.

Ainge and the Celts need to upgrade for the playoffs.

Not doing so would just end up in another 2nd round playoff exit for the Cs.

Here goes: Hayward, Theis, Poirer and picks to the Thunder for Adams and Gallinari. Balances the team.

Still, you get nothing to improve the team, even balanced. I would give Hayward only in package for KAT, nothing less...

Gordon has been all over the place in games, I don't think his trade value is as high as some here suggest.

A team like the Pistons would not really make Hayward the centerpiece of the trade.

It's the Memphis pick that will make teams interested in dealing with the Celts.

Celts have so many assets to offer, Hayward will just make salaries work.

While Danilo Gallinari of the Oklahoma City Thunder isn’t a power player, he’s a legitimate scorer at 6’10”, and he’s another guy Boston has monitored, per an NBA source.

I'd be happy with him as well, excellent shot creator for his size.

Adams and Gallo become your starting center and stretch power forward. I think the Celtics get better with this trade:

Starting line up:

Kemba
Brown
Tatum
Gallo
Adams

Bench:
Kanter
Smart
Williams

Yet while Detroit’s talks with Atlanta regarding Drummond were revealed by ESPN last week, a source with knowledge of the talks downplayed the prospect of that deal happening. While Atlanta’s brutal season (8-30) has added significant pressure to bolster the roster and give young star Trae Young more help, the Hawks, per a second source, could have landed Drummond already if they were willing to include a first-round pick in the deal. Boston and Dallas, it’s worth noting here at the top, are known to be looking for a big.

A 3-team trade is possible.

I prefer the Celts getting Drummond and Gallinari than Adams and Gallinari.

Is there anyone worth picking up from The Hawks if they need a couple of picks for the Drummond trade?

Nobody really. Take away Trae and they are 2-36 team.

Yeah, besides the 2 untouchable guys, their last 2 picks and maybe Huerter, they’ve got very little.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Huerter = 6-7 shooter SG/SF

I like Hayward but he just doesn't fit with this team and he's not a good enough shooter. Gallinari would solve a lot of problems and so would Adams. I like this trade. I would like to figure out a way to get rid of Marcus Smart as well though.

If we are trading with the Thunder, I'm betting the farm on SGA.

Tatum for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander + filler

Don't think the Thunder would pull the trigger, but if they did, I'd have no second thoughts about it.

SGA is pretty darn close to untradeable territory at this point, assuming he's happy and wants to stay in OKC of course.
