Most likely just made up in the non-factor rumor factory.

However, that doesn't mean it's not a good trade for both teams.

And I disagree that Minnesota should just sit around for 2 more years wallowing in their own misery.
I mean, KAT could get injured in that time.  He could start to really complain and drive his value down with a serious demand.  If you're Minnesota and you diagnose misery on your team...then sell while his value is still sky high, as it is now.  That return is excellent value for the Wolves.  In fact, I'm guessing they start winning more after that trade.  Think how much we value Theis on our team right now, not to mention Smart.  Then Tatum and all the draft picks.  That's not the deal that brought Garnett (superior to KAT overall) in.  That's way more.

Not to mention, if Minny waits two years then they're putting off a rebuild by that long.  Yuck.

fantasy or reality?  I'd say it's your fantasy since you hop on any opportunity to try to get a big man regardless of the price paid.
LOL...😅

I’m not as high in KAT as others.  Based in part on butlers issues in Minn, it doesn’t seem like KAT has the temperament to lead a team to greatness.

Seems legit.

Here's another idea: Towns for a bag of chips and a cold beer. Sound fair enough? :P

First off, KAT isn't getting traded unless he explicitly asks to be traded. He just sign a huge contract.

Second the Timberpups will laugh and hang up on this trade. If they are trading KAT, it means they're gonna start tanking. Why would they want a win-now piece like Hayward? The starting price would be Tatum/Brown and a boadload of picks (atleast).

It's a bit cold where I am right now. Send me to that beach and I'd do that trade in a second if I were the Wolves. ;D

No way do Minny take this deal. KAT would require at least two of Tatum / Brown / Memphis pick, if not all three.

Considering the packages we’ve just seen for AD, Westbrook and Paul George, there’s no way KAT goes for Hayward (who is a win-now piece who would likely decline his option and leave that garbage franchise), an offensively limited defensive specialist, and a raw prospect who hasn’t shown all too much.

KAT just signed a long-term deal, is an All-NBA calibre big, and hasn’t demanded a trade. No way he gets traded for anything that isn’t an offer like Morant & JJJ, for example.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

I dunno. Sub in Tacko for RWIII and I think you have a deal. Have you seen the all-star voting? Fall is already a legend.

We're not trading for Towns. Minn will want Tatum, Brown, the Memphis pick, and every other pick we can legally give them for the next half dozen or so years.

You mean Hayward+Smart+Timelord might not be good enough? That's a bummer.

The T-Wolves haven't been any worse without Towns and Wiggins. Take that for what it's worth.
