Title: Why the Celtics play better when Rondo is out
Post by: banty19 on December 01, 2012, 04:12:54 PM
1. Rondo doesn't try during most regular seasons games

He's less aggressive on the boards, less willing to attack the basket, etc. And I kind of agree with this point. I'd rather see a healthy Rondo in the playoffs than an injured Rondo watching from the sidelines.

2. Defenders still don't respect his jumper

Even when he's mailing it in, somebody like Ray Allen can help an offense because a defender needs to respect his shot. This isn't true for Rondo. Rondo is useless without the ball in his hands.

When ROndo is looking for a shot he can make (jumper) he takes the Celtic to another level...CP3 like.

If Green and Rondo could ever become deadly every game with a med. BASS type jumper ,  there would be no stopping the Celtics. They would score 110 points a night.

Rondo needs a consistant jumper 12-16 ft. Range. to add to his bag of tricks.

Agreed, the Celts don't play better when Rondo's out.
