Bit surprised they waited this long if they were going to do it.  I almost expected them to carry him into next summer as potential salary in a trade, but they finally cut bait.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Would he even see the floor at all under Stevens? He can barely shoot outside the paint, never mind the 3 point line, and he's lost any defensive quickness he once had.

Joakim Noah cut by Knicks - should the Celtics have any interest?

I'm curious to what people's thoughts are.

I suspect he'd want more guaranteed playing time and I'm not sure when Bird's roster spot will be available.

In a big lineup, with Horford at the 4 and Baynes at the 5, we only have one reliable backup in Theis and we don't know how he will bounce back from injury.  Williams is only a rookie and can't be counted on.

I think he could be useful in a limited role.  I know his attitude has been an issue, but we have a well respected coach and plenty of leadership including his college buddy in Horford.  He might be interested in playing for a title.

On a side note, I know there used to be a thread on him, but couldn't find it.  Is there still a way to search for old threads?

Love Noah, but God forbid any major injuries to our Bigs I think we are set to go until Mid-June 2019 and beyond.

Let's run with THIS 15.

He'd look good on the Wolves.

See that metal thing sticking out of Noah's back? It's a fork.

He hasn't played in a long time, so he might be healthy now.  I think he could help if he's 70% of what he used to be.  It's worth giving him a workout.

i have watched him work all off-season long on IG, loads of videos/IG stories, he looks good and he did some of his work against the young guys in the nba. He did a lot of "open runs" and didn't look like trash but that was the off-season, you can never tell.

I think we are fine with players but if we added him I wouldn't expect him to see the floor much. Honestly, I'd say we got a steal if we could get good Noah production out of RIII and if he could add a 3 to that, wow. He could be the perfect fit in the future if he turned into that. Noah was a hell of a passer too IMO.

I forgot to say, I wouldn't add him. I'd give the spot to some young guy we can try and mold or a buyout mid-season. Loved Noah in Florida but we can use that spot on someone who has played the game sometime recently.

It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Noah is done.

Don't want him and don't need him.

had he been able to play at 70% NY would have kept him.

He is what Oden was for the Heat .. dead weight. And Considering the team has a young guy to develop i'd much rather bet on him than Noah
