Everyone will give Irving credit - but he gave up one layup after another in regulation and overtime. If he plays defense, we don't need those miracle 3's he made.

Well sure, but to be fair Wall was shredding our entire team.  Irving also drew a huge charge against Wall late in the 4th.

He wasn't shredding the entire team - Wall was going right by Irving, who was pretending to guard him. Just no resistance. And his 3's were miracles.

They’re just showing replays on PostGame Live and he was blowing by Irving, Morris, Tatum and Rozier throughout the 2nd half. Rob Williams too, though he can’t really be expected to defend wall do I’m not counting him.

Well at least there's video evidence to support my claim.

Great comeback win against a bad team.  Need to win those games.  Continues to be disappointing to see opposing PGs go absolutely ham on us, though - Wall with 34-13-7-2-1 on 53% shooting.

there no bad teams in the NBA.

Great game.  Someone get John Wall a wheelchair.

Gotta tip my hat to him for going with the old Paul Pierce maneuver

All those easy layups by Wall was driving me crazy, though.

How the heck did we give up 125 points to a mediocre Wizards team?

Giving up a million layups to Wall certainly didn’t help. No one bothered to get in front of him. Kept waiting for CBS to send in a Smart wall.
We were playing with no bigs for crying out loud  :o

Rozier-Kyrie-Smart-Tatum-Morris

There was no one to protect the rim. We missed some rebounds as well.

I feel like they were trying to rattle Kyrie by giving him Hayward flashbacks, but once Kyrie realized Wall was fine, he just got mad and started going NBA Jam on everyone.

My point is - Morris, Tatum, Rozier and Williams were trying to stop Wall from a help position after he gets a full head of steam blowing by Irving, who does not even slow him down. They were not the primary defender and it was one possession after another down the stretch.

I think Irving's perspective has always been just to outscore the other guy, so he doesn't worry about defending unless it is convenient. He should have more balanced EFFORT on both ends.

Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

NBA JAM was a video game, completely unrelated to either movie. ;D

Brad just saying that Smart was 'officially' playing the 5 out there in OT. Interesting he felt the need to reference exactly what position he was playing.

Also, 25-25 on FTs - that is doing what you are supposed to!

Its useless trying to talk sense to this guy. He has it in for Kyrie right from the beginning. Never mind that despite the chemistry issues and laziness that is plaguing the Wizards right now, you can't deny that John Wall is one of the fastest guy in the league. Doesn't help that we are shorthanded right now either, esp our bigs.

Heck even when Kyrie doesnt play this guy blamed him for our playoff losses.
