The last thing the C's need is basically training another rookie player and have them become relevant 3-4 years from now while we basically have prime Tatum and an eventual extended Brown on this team. Heck, that rookie may even be on the trading block by year 3-4 aka Terry Rozier, Romeo Langford, Kelly Olynyk etc. I don't even know JD Davidson will even sniff the floor this year aside from blowout time.

Should just trade the picks for star players and win now.

The funny thing about this post is that under this logic you would have traded Tatum to augment Kyrie and Hayward. Teams with consistent success in the NBA have struck a balance between maximising their rosters and not sending out picks unnecessarily.

Well there are some exceptions like Tatum being a #3 pick and obviously he turned out being a stud. Not saying that we should trade our highest picks like giving out free candies unless there's a strong deal out there. But like a 27th pick? Or a 18th pick? We should send them out to get someone who can immediately contribute. Last thing we need are more Jordan Mickeys or Carsen Edwards filling up the roster lol.

But of course the C's are also in year 7 of Tatum and year 8 of Brown and the C's haven't won a chip yet, so something drastic needs to happen...like bolstering their roster.

Too many what-ifs in that Irving/Hayward days lol. If Hayward wasn't injured team would've been in the Finals playing against GSW, and possibly won it all.

Be nice if Boston could get pick #42 out of Washington in this trade. Assuming #30 goes from LAC to Washington.

I wouldn’t expect that to happen.  The Wizards are still taking on $25 million in salary in this deal.

trade grant williams or pritchard with some second round picks to move up to the first round, maybe 20 to 25.

then pick Olivier-Maxence Prosper.

if no trade appears, at number 35 pick jackson-davis, keyonte johnson, or kobe brown...and ask him to change his first name.

Picks are cost control more than ever.   I hope we start picking better and land some players.

I don't really understand the logic but REALGM via a yahoo sports report had a report on the Grizzlies exploring trading Tyus Jones to a team where he can start.

https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/272012/Grizzlies-Evaluating-Trade-Market-For-Tyus-Jones

If Jones is traded this prompted the following relatively mundane trade from me.

Celtics get #25 ,#45, and #56

Memphis gets Pritchard and #35

Yeah, there was talk of trading Tyus Jones before the Morant suspension. They thought T Jones was a starting caliber player and that they wouldn't be able to keep him long term as Morant's backup (or afford to keep him) so they would be better off trading him now and getting something in return for him instead of losing him for nothing down the road in free agency.

After the Morant suspension, there was talk of keeping T Jones until the trade deadline and trading him then.

But it does look like there is a strong chance they trade T Jones at some point in the near future.

Derick Jones, Jr just declined his option to stay with the Bulls. How about him as wing depth?

If PP is still a Celtic after tomorrow I believe he stays with Boston. If the Cs want to move up in this draft it will take moving him to do it.

I think he stays.
