Quote
"To me, these aren't stories," Ainge said. "They're not a big deal. I mean, yes, Kyrie could have done better. Yes, Jaylen could have done better. But these are people. These are kids. These are guys playing with emotion in a glass house. They're real people with real emotions; they're not perfect and I don't ever expect them to be."

But could these overflowing emotions be the product of a "toxic" locker room?

"It only becomes toxic if guys are sensitive," Ainge responded.

" ... Everybody's so sensitive, or they think everybody's so sensitive. We live in a real sensitive society now, and all these things that we're talking about: 'Oh, you mean a veteran player called out the young guys? Oh wait, a young guy stood up for himself?'

"I mean, where is the drama? I don't understand it. Quit being sensitive. That's the story. That's my story."

I love it. Man up, buttercups. This is big boy basketball.

I mean, the guy grew up in this era:

Nice quotes by Ainge but I think the media/social media has created a new breed of players who are in fact super sensitive.  Not sure you can just tell them to "quit it."

I thought the code was, if you have a problem with somebody you go to them and say it to their face. It is their job to deal with it in a grown-up way; if there is some truth in it they fix what’s wrong, and if there isn’t they let it roll off.

But you don’t go pointing fingers and running them down with other people. That’s the wrong way.

I thought Kyrie admitting he was wrong to run the kids down was the right thing to do. A person who pretends he never makes a mistake is someone to watch out for. Too weak to admit any faults.

Well said, Ainge.  I'd be more concerned if the players weren't upset at each other after bad losses.  Some pro athletes are simply content with collecting their money and don't care about winning or losing.  I don't think our team has any of those.

As for the other ludicrous thread "Can the team get past the Orlando game incident?" - I'd love to see Danny's reaction that one.  If you accept the silly premise in that thread then this team is done for the year.  And so is Golden State, because clearly the altercation where Green called Durant the B word is too difficult to work past, and they won't win this year because of it.

Seems like a GM trying to cover up some real issues on his team and in the process basically calls his team sensitive, whiny, and immature.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Seems more directed at the media than the team. That's my take.

SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman
