Pass, I do not even think Yao belongs in the hall of fame with his mediocre stats and short career now peeps are pawning this guy.

Heck, Jack Sigma won a ring, had 17K career points and 10K career rebounds and has better stats thanYao should have been in there before Ming.

I don't really see the complaint. They both averaged 10 boards per 36 for their careers, but Sikma only hit 19 points per 36 twice, averaging 16.8 for his career. Yao on the other hand averaged 21.0 and had five seasons over 21 points per 36.

Sikma had a career 109/101 O/Drtg, whereas Yao was 112/99.

Sikma averaged 1.0 blk per 36 to Yao's 2.1.

Yao had a career PER of 23.0  and TS% of .596 to Sikma's 17.3 and .540.

Yao averaged .200 WS/48 to Sikma's .148.

Yao even beat Sikma in AS games, at 8 to Sikma's 7.

Per 36 are projected stats, please post the real ones.  Sikma had 9.8 RPG to 9.2.   Sikma stats were affected by old age too in those averages, Yao's look better because his body broke down in his prime and he never aged.   Sikma played in 102 playoff games and won a ring,  Yao 28.

Yao never won a ring, and had a short career.  Sikma played 14 years to Yao's 7.  He belongs in the Hall of Fame.  Yao does too, but he should have played his dues.  Hello, world largest market, and boosting tourism to the Hall of Fame.

What does any of this have to do with Yao Ming? Nobody talked about drafting Ming, he's retired. Might as well talk about Matute Bol or Roni Siekaly? Just because Zhou Qi is Chinese doesnt mean they are all the same. Is Kwame Brown the same as Anthony Davis? Is Porzingis the same as Milicic?

Seems I hit a nerve.  Zhou Qi is from China, Yao is too, I realize not all players are the same but they both came from the same league  .  I doubt he is as good as Yao.      They are both tall, too.  Is that not similar?    I went off topic, so you melt down?   Go back to your safe room perhaps?

I like Qi with our own pick. Especially if we can stash him. Hes super long, mobile, coordinated. Post moves, idrange game, faceup game, can get up and down in transition. Strength is a big ?, though.

roleplayer at best but he's got a sparkling personality. I could see us taking him but he really is no better than zeller or jerebko at best.

I really feel like we need real talent this draft not more of the same. That's why he's not getting the Bender treatment.

Huh. You know, you might be onto something here.

As a matter of fact, I think there's quite a few tall people on the Celtics.

In fact, the NBA has a lot of tall people too, now that I think about it.

I think you're right. Yao and Qi ARE pretty similar. In fact, they are pretty similar to a lot of the NBA too. What with all these tall basketball players. Strange.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

I would like us to use a flyer on him in round 2 with one of our million picks :)

seriously a good draft and stash candidate.  still very young and tall.  moves very well for his size.

Take a look at him competing in the FIBA asian championships:
