If Hayward could stay healthy, Dallas does that all day without thinking twice

I don't see why Dallas would do that trade at all
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Maybe it’s balanced then? I can’t see why Charlotte would do it.

Because Porzingis is better than the current version of Hayward. And they are both made of glass so you can't use the Zinger's injury history against him when comparing him to a guy like Hayward.  The Zinger averaged basically 20/9 last year with a TS% of 58.2.  he in the course of like a season has gone from slightly overrated to criminally underrated.  He can't stay healthy, but when he plays he produces at a very high level.  And I get that Hayward had a solid year 19/6/4 with a similar TS%, but he will also be 32 this year.  the Zinger is a more valuable player right now, and I don't think it is all that close.

If Hornets feel this slows the team play it would get turned down. Mavs might want a young wing than Hayward.

I'd do it for the Mavs. Don't like it for the Hornets tbh. LaMelo is at his best when playing on the open court. Porzingis would slow down their offense. Needless to say, he ain't the ''unicorn'' anymore. The way I see it, he's just a floor spacer.

Don't like the defensive fit either. LaMelo is better suited in a switch-heavy defensive scheme. Porzingis can only be effective in a drop scheme.

Interesting idea though. TP to the OP!
