GSW playing great basketball. Very likable and entertaining team. They are the early favorites to win it all. Curry playing MVP basketball. Credit must go to Kerr and their GM.
As long they beat Lakers in playoffs, I’m rooting for them
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

I am surprised how well GSW is playing.

Draymond Green is only scoring 7ppg. After Poole (18ppg) and Wiggins (19ppg), they have little scoring threats. Poole has been good but not great due to 33% 3PT shooting on 8 attempts a game.

What is amazing to me is (1) how much Curry is carrying that offense (2) how valuable shooters like Otto Porter, Bjelica and Damion Lee are to a supporting cast. Shooting continues to get more and more valuable. Other areas continue to decrease in relative value.

Bjelica is playing minutes at center! I mean he can't even defend PFs nevermind play tough interior defense or provide rim protection or even rebounding. But he sure can shoot and that is enough.

The other impressive thing is how well they are doing defensively. Wiggins is finally playing more consistent defense and showing the NBA the defensive chops he had at Kansas. Great to see. But outside of him and Draymond, how much else do you like on that team defense? Poole and Steph is a competent but unexceptional backcourt defensively. Looney is middling. Bjelica is incompetent. Damion Lee is good. Iggy is above average (but no longer exceptional). These are not the tools you would expect to see on a top ranked defense.

Which makes me wonder, how much is Draymond carrying them on defense? Steph is clearly carrying them to a huge degree on offense. Is Draymond doing similarly on defense?

I can’t really take joy in this afternoon our collapse tonight but Lakers are really being forced to run Lebron into the ground. He is gonna end up playing 48 mins tonight with this triple overtime game against the kings. They have just been unable to put the kings away at home. On a cooler note the new coach is playing bagley and he looks very decent. Don’t know what the heck waltons deal was.

I guess I will admit that misery loves company. They are having a very similar year to us. Lebron 2-13 from three and tried to win the game multiple times from deep when he should have gone to the hole. He hit some big three to put away the pacers late the other night but that is not a good long term strategy for the lakers or him.

Vogel does him absolutely no favours. Neither has the list management.

His athleticism is also, naturally, waning

I don’t know what happened to him.  He’s hitting shots from three and from midrange at a bottom-of-the-league rate, but he’s taking a ton of them.

He’s not even defending like he used to.  Just a huge dropoff.

He looked 30 the year he left HS .     He hasn’t looked like a boy since he was 14

This has been such an exciting NBA season so far with all that's happening. Just too bad the Celtics amidst all this looks extremely mediocre and frustrating. Will be a long season for them  :(
