I'd like to be really excited -- but I still can't stand that the Lakers pick up 2 top-5 guys and are poised to win again. How many teams in this league have never been to the finals and the Lakers just bide their time, make draft picks (sometimes their picks refused to workout elsewhere...), open up salary, and wait till megastars sign with them or twist their owners arm to trade them there. Can't complain nearly as much as a Celtics fan, but LAL leaps over dozens of teams who struggle year after year -- and they are now suddenly in the driver's seat again. I had hoped that somehow 2020-21 was going to pass without LA winning banner 17, but they are rested and ready to win.
C's are a year or 2-3 (if all goes well) away, and their potential superstars will need to grow into that status -- not arrive ready-made. I'll watch and enjoy the C's, but ultimately I am expecting a very disappointing end to the season (assuming the virus doesn't enter the bubble).
