I’ve honestly stopped watching. If they don’t care why should I?

Last night while watching the game I was thinking the Celtics reminded me of the Wizards of a couple years ago.

That's got to be close to rock bottom.

I don't even expect them to win anymore. If they do it is a pleasant surprise. I just have no faith in these guys whatsoever.

If Boston is the 5 seed, i do not see them getting past Philly if that is the match up in round one. If the Pacers are 4, then maybe.

I think Boston still has the mental edge on Philly and they match up really well. The C's have too many guys who can give Simmons trouble and if they want to rely on Butler or Harris, then they're negating the skills Simmons does have and turning the game into 5-on-4 for Boston. And if Joel Embiid isn't totally beasting, the Celtics will win that matchup.

But the I don't have a lot of confidence going into the 2nd round unless something really changes, and I don't know what that would be at this point.

On the plus side, if we keep playing like this, we have a shot at Zion.

I am going to step out of my doom and gloom comfort zone and say there was some positives in the game last night that i hope the team will build on.

At least, they appeared to be engaged last night.  Even Kyrie.  That gives me some hope.

Last night appeared to be related to their inability to make shots.   Again, I wish they would stop settling for 3s and go to the basket when they get into lulls to end scoring droughts.  I also wish that they would learn how to defend the pick and roll.  Baynes cant get back fast enough from my perspective.

We still haven't hit rock bottom, not even close.

Rock bottom would be ending up out of the playoffs this year with the talent we have on our team...That would result in multiple players traded or not resigned and another mini roster purge.  It would also start to put a little bit of heat on Brad Stevens.  I said a little, not a lot.

I personally don't think we bottom out this year.  We will make the playoffs, and either be out the first round, or if we really turn it around we make it to the 2nd round.  I just can't see us winning multiple playoff series when we don't have HCA.

Oh, I still think there will be a decent purge this offseason. If Kyrie goes, then Rozier stays, or vice versa. Morris is probably gone. If Danny gets Davis, that means numerous Celtics heading to New Orleans in that deal. I think there could be 50% turnover next season.

Gin Baker was the worst.

I don't want to pick on people with legitimate mental health issues, but his time here was disgraceful.

this is something that just isn't talked about enough. During the 'magic' or 'punk rock' Celtics IT-led years, we didn't know Danny was gonna turn over the entire roster that summer. The plan was always to wait, probably. We absolutely didn't think we'd be trading for Kyrie "I have lots of counter-productive things to say publicly and I hate and love that you care about them" Irving. So in that blessed naivete, I think the players could "Just play".

Now, Rozier is looking for a payday and watching it likely slip through his inconsistent-in-limited-minutes fingers. One or more of Jaylen, Gordon, or Jayson will not be with the team next year. Marcus Morris almost certainly won't be here. Kyrie is busy not talking about how he's constantly thinking about the offseason and he absolutely isn't talking about how badly he'd messed up this chance to lead a talented young team and what that means for him going forward with or without the franchise. There's just so much going on. Lots of non-basketball stuff to think about. Change is gonna come for these Celtics whether they win or lose but it's gotta have an impact.
