I have no idea what the general valuations of these players are, but what would people think about:
To Sacramento: Smart, Poirier, #14 pick
To Boston: Hield, Giles
Giles has more upside than Poirier (who doesn't?) and I believe is one of Tatum's best friends. At worst he takes up Poirier's wasted space on the roster. At best he's a young big man option that can potentially grow along with the Tatum/Brown core.
Hield and Sacramento don't seem to be working out. He could be the deadly secondary shooter the Celtics desire, rather than taking a chance on grabbing one in the draft. Smart isn't a foundational piece, but could help with the culture in Sacramento and makes for a dangerous pairing with Fox. Of course, to make up the difference in offensive value (and to entice them to accept Poirier), Celtics need to throw in a pick. Is #14 enough, too high, too low? Any interest in Hield and Giles? If so, is there a way to make it work?
