I have heard the Celtics would like Tyreke Evans and are willing to talk moving their own first round pick, but want to send a player(s) to Memphis, to conserve the DPE for use on another player. They don't want to just let go of the $5M in salary difference between Evans & DPE.

Are naders days numbered?

Nader alone isn't enough. Would have to add another salary like Larkin. Makes more sense to just send Yabu + our 2018 1st.

Something about Nader's contract that I didn't know: next season is only partially guaranteed (450,000) and the two years after that are non-guaranteed.

If I was a GM, I don't think i'd want to waste a roster spot on him, but his contract is pretty trade-friendly.

Billy did not respond so he must have been deliberately tricky.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've found the Tyreke discussion to be a bit too idealistic.

Danny has already made it clear that he won't be taking one-year rentals; so if we make any move it will be because we want the player on our team long-term. However, if we trade for Tyreke the only logical player to send out is Smart... I can't see us having to deal with both Tyreke's and Smart's contract at the end of the year.

The more I think of it, any move we make at this juncture essentially feels like Smart is gone come season's end.

how do we know Danny isn’t interested in signing Evans to a longer term deal ?

if he is able to, I feel like. Danny  would. Adding him and keeping smart or rozier would really help our wing talent and depth when Gordon Hayward comes back.

Except that’s wrong. The DPE is $0 now. We’ve used it.
