Two weeks in the Bahamas in August to spend time with the in-laws.
How lucky are you, Wdleehi, to have your inlaws life in a great place to vacation?  Have a good time!

No, that where they live.  I am hoping the house they bought on Eleuthera is close enough for me to walk to the beach.  The house in Nassau is most definitely not.  And it is hard to get them to go (they are not beach people)

I knew what you meant...but the weather in the Bahamas is balmy year round.  Years ago I worked (in Boston as a secretary) for Bahama Realty....Lucaya/Freeport development company.  I remember the tax free part of the Bahamas sounded really good.  I have seen enough hurricanes that I don't want to live on the coast anymore, but if I remember right you can bike to most places...have a good time.

Depends on the island.  The Family Islands you can do that.  Nassau, nope.  To many cars.

Here are some of the fish I saw when I went snorkelling at Hadaba Beach.

Just a beautiful experience. It was my first time snorkelling but it'll certainly not be my last. It was worth the entire trip.

Great to have you back, Buddy ... when I lived in St. Croix I would snorkel almost every evening after work ... the first time I put my head under the water I was hooked, (then went on to scuba). The colors are amazing ... the life and diversity of creatures, amazing. Sounds like you caught the bug! Awesome stuff!
