Early Season Injuries

rollie mass:
I think pre season and training camp is too short. Then to squeeze in 4 games in a week.To start with Philly, then away to Toronto and arriving a three in the morning with the New York game that night. Then with a days rest its the Magic
Too much too soon.

Surferdad:
That's the price paid to avoid 4 games in 5 nights scenarios.  I think the league also actually reduced the number of of back-to-backs.

Eddie20:
The schedule is much better. What happened to Baynes is more of a freak occurrence than scheduling, especially when you consider he's played 45 TOTAL minutes in 5 days (3 games). Another thing they did is try to reduce travel distance. Which is why even the back-to-back is a relatively short flight (Toronto to NY is approximately 90 minutes).

Oh and we don't play Miami for a bit.

Big333223:
They're all professionals and millionaires with basketball courts and gyms in their summer homes. They should all be coming into the season in pretty good shape anyway and preseason is a joke. They probably get a better workout in practices.

Moranis:
You should never travel in between a back to back (maybe if you play a noon game the first day and then have a short trip for a night game the next day).  That is the one thing the league should fix.  A team should never have to finish a game at 10 pm (or later), immediately go to the airport, and then arrive at a new place in the middle of the night only to wake up the next day and have a game.  There should be at least 24 hours in between games when travel is involved (which is why you could get away with an early game, travel, and night game, but nothing more than that).
