Needed this thread to counter the negative one. Post what you like about Brown.

  • Be the posts you wish to see in the world.
We could be overreacting to Bender's Summer League performance right now.

He plays an NBA level defense.

Ehm, tbh, I clearly do not like what is going on in the other thread; but IMO it does not make sense to write a lot either way right now.
First, because whatever we write might look silly in only a few months from now.
Second, because the sample we have to work with is very limited- as a reminder JR Hunter excelled in last year's SL.
Third, and most important, because the other gang will jump in here too and turn this into a food fight.

We positively should trade him for Oakfor.

Okafor couldn't fetch the #3 pick at the Draft.

He won't now either.

Physically, I think he'll eventually look like Corey Maggette or Andre Iguodala.  He's gonna be built.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Trade Crowder before we trade Brown.  If we are getting Okafor and Hayward sure I'd take them. Or Cousins.  I like  Brown as a player though.  People are crying because he isn't moving off the ball in summer league a ton and is just trying to get a feel of the game.

I would take Hayward over him but there aren't many players I would.  I'd just develop him. He's going to be good.

I can't wait to see the player Jaylen Brown becomes.  I don't know why the pre-draft reports questioned his intensity.  That isn't lacking.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
He will be able to contribute as a defender sooner rather than later.

Idk about you, but knowing what we know now, I wouldn't trade much of what we have for a 20 year old Al Jefferson.

If he was able to finish, he would average 18 points a game in the NBA in his rookie season.

He can create space off the dribble and get to the rim at will.
