If he actually said this, that really stinks.

Another sign of Rondo's immaturity and not being able to put aside his personal feelings for the good of the team. Danny, Doc and hence "the team" are making a big push to get Ray back. Rondo's statements undermine those efforts and weaken us and strengthen our mortal enemy.
Completely agree.  His timing couldn't be worse. Stupid.

I had a cousin whose nephew's son's cousin was at that camp in Louisville.
They claim that this indeed happened.  And guess who the kid was who asked those questions?

It was Lebron James' kid.

Now, don't hold me to this.  But I also heard that the kid was reading texts from the cell phone.

  • It's what I do! It's who I am!
No big deal, I'm sure he's said worse in the locker room if their relationship is as bad as they say.

Is anyone really falling for this. Think people!! He said "earlier today"... you think if RR said something this big this would be our first time hearing it lol??? Come on now...

The only people that were there were kids and parents.

So none of the parents said anything to any1 when they left about it... I highly doubt only one person out of the bunch would say anything. That's just too big to be held in by people...
Hence him coming here and posting about it, that'd be saying something wouldn't it?

I highly doubt if this event happened we'd hear about it any other way than over the internet.

Right but that's the exact reason I put no stock in it. It's a completely unsubstantiated internet report. until i see it reported/ a video or audio sample pops up, it's just KROTOR 2.0

I don't necessarily disbelieve it without reason either.  The answers sound very much like Rondo, and we wouldn't really expect him or want him to get upset if Ray were traded, which was the question.  If Ray's been telling his teammates, as is likely, that he wants to move on, then a S&T in accordance with that would be the trade that could be expected.

Personally, who cares? It got a chuckle out of me, because its the kind of thing Rondo would say even if him and Ray Allen were besties.

He's (Rondo) a sardonic, sullen, dry-humored, smart guy who likes to keep the media and the public at arms length. I'm not surprised or bothered by it at all.

agree and tp
rondo has been known to give many a one word answer with a secret grin going on
he has also answered questions with a puzzled look in his eyes (no words) and the best was he and kg chuckling over a dumb question
only ray and rondo know their relationship and to a lesser extent the team

I think this whole Allen/Rondomthing is a little overblown. Remember after game 7, Allen was asked a question that was something like if he thought the Celtics had a shot next year if they are all brought back and he said, "Us four know how to play basketball." he included Rondo in that answer.

Who cares what he said, professionals are supposed to put aside their differences and play, period.

Ray is gone. He doesn't want to come off the bench.
He doesn't want to play with Rondo. Period.
Do you really think he would be meeting with
Miami if he were staying ? No way. He's either
going to Miami or somewhere else.
