Happy for the win, but the offense is Ugly Town right now. Bad O-line, tight ends are barely a threat, and the receiver depth is super thin. Oh, and a kicker who can't make a 40-yard field goal.
But the guy can hit an upright which is really much more difficult than putting it between.
LOL. Touché.
They win 35-14. 6-0 yet you'd think the sky was falling and this team was 1-5 right now based on the Boston sports media & many fans' reactions.
This team is good. Real good. Like I said weeks ago, though, you won't learn a lot about them until late October & November when the competition ramps up.
I think the issue right now, as far as some fans being concerned, is that the offense isn't particularly good (only 21 points last night against a pretty bad Giants defense). A lot of that has to do with injuries, so the obvious hope/solution is that getting certain guys back from injury will help them a lot, but the concern there is the question of whether guys can stay healthy. Isaiah Wynn, for example, is crucial to this offense's success, but he keeps getting injured—I know, two unrelated injuries, but that doesn't change the fact that he's been injured for most of his (albeit short) pro career. Izzo/LaCosse is a HUGE downgrade from Gronk, the running game can't do a ton with the O-line injuries, and the receivers are dropping like flies. The weak schedule is helping them quite a bit at this point, but there's a tough stretch coming up that will probably say a lot about this team.
