The thing with Hayward is he has lost some quickness and isn't fast enough to get by his man and go all the way to the hoop with out getting hit. Just watch that next game and you'll see what I mean.
So teamwise a group who plays athletically and likes to get out and run alot, it IS an anchor and slows them down.
Brad should NOT have punished the youngsters like that after their run last year. Someone mentioned in another thread that it was no big deal but it absolutely was with rookies and second year players nearly knocking off Lebron to go to the finals.
YOU DO NOT PUNISH THAT...and I think that is at the root of all this.
I won't even mention his pay that they all see.
And honestly Terry is within his right to feel some kinda way about that.
I actually see things with Terry, and his game is not a finished product yet. You guys WILL regret letting him walk. He will have a similar career to Billups.
You do know Chauncey is going to the Hall, right?
Yeah, lol, Terry is definitely not of the same caliber as Chauncey. Chauncey had already proven more by age 23 than Terry had now, and he turns 25 in roughly a month.
If Chauncey hadn't been injured in '99-'00, and then played out of position the season after I think he develops into the All-Star caliber guy quicker, but even with those obstacles Billups developed at a better pace.
He's that old? I didn't realize that and thought he was Brown and Tatum's age. Anyway, my point was the same way Pitino was emotional and pulled the trigger on him is the same thing that's gonna happen.
But as I read this board, it's becoming obvious trades are half the fun for most posters like it's some fantasy league or something. I don't know nothing about none of that...I played since I was 4 so I post from my experiences from that.
Everyone brushes chemistry under the rug, and I just don't think anyone get's it. I mean Danny don't even get it, and he was on one of the most smooth running and well oiled teams anchored by Bird.
I guess they figure since Paul, KG and Allen did it, that's the mold everyone tries for. I just think that team caught lightning in a bottle because of who they were. They didn't even struggle out the gate like Lebron in Miami did.
That still doesn't mean chemistry is not important. This new league mindset and style of play is kinda losing me I guess.
If y'all like to buy competition with a revolving door, go for it. I ain't with it.
