Against the Bengals, Jackson had his 2nd perfect passer rating of the season.  Roethlisberger in 2007 is the only other QB in history to have 2 perfect passer rating games in the same season.  Jackson is just the 6th QB in history to have multiple perfect passer rating games in their career. he did it in his 16th career game.

Seen almost every NFL game he’s played. The kid is incredible and still improving.
The thing is , can he stay healthy ? If so he has an incredible career in front of him.

Wonder if the Pats regret passing on him and picking Sony Michel instead.

If something happens and Brady leaves after this season (retires, leaves via FA,etc) Jackson would've been the perfect replacement.

He has a limited shelf life, like most run happy QBs, if he continues to use his legs so much. He has the talent to make it in the league as a pocket passer but his love of running the ball means someone is going to lay him out and hurt him bad, like almost every other run happy QB. Will he bounce back and be that pocket passer QB or will he go the way of so many other running QBs? We will see.

I'm not so sure about that.  He does a great job avoiding hits, but because he runs so much he is actually more used to getting hit, better at taking hits, and more aware of when hits are coming.  Look at all the QB's that have gone down this year.  He hasn't missed a snap (well at least as a result of being injured).  I'm sure at some point he will miss some games because he gets his, but that just makes him a QB as they pretty all miss time because they get hit.

Clinic on Monday Night Football.  Not sure if he is perfect again, but has to be close as the Ravens are crushing the Rams in LA

He wasn't perfect tonight.  15 of 20, 169 yards and 5 TD's for a rating of 139.4.

So in the last 3 games he had the perfect game against the Bengals at 158.3 followed that up with a 139.2 against the Texans and then a 139.4 tonight.

Not to take away from Jackson, but the Rams aren't very good this season—mediocre, really.

They are still 6-5 with a win over the Saints.

Ravens are on a nearly unheard of streak their last 5 games (given opponent quality and scoring margin)

Win at 9-2 Seattle by 14
Win vs. 10-1 New England by 17
Win at 0-11 Cincinnati by 36
Win vs. 7-4 Houston by 34
Win at 6-5 Los Angeles (NFC) by 39

Next up is 10-1 San Francisco at home and then at 8-3 Buffalo.  If they continue this string of domination it will be one of the greatest 7 game regular season stretches in NFL history given the scoring margin and quality of opponent (Cincinnati not with standing).

Ravens also have a strange scheduling quirk where every game on the schedule they swap home and away.  Started on the road, then home, then road, etc.

Certainly the most dangerous team in the NFL right now.  Will be fascinating to see how that SF defense plays against them on Sunday.

Guessing the only concern Ravens fans could have right now is the fear that they're peaking too soon. But certainly a legit Super Bowl threat.

They sure are...the way the Pats offense has been recently, I think they'd beat us again at a neutral field.
Sunday should be VERY interesting.

If things stay constant, it's going to be another SF/Bal superbowl.

Both teams have a mauling d line and I don't see anyone presently who can stop them.

Look at what SF did to GB. The packers may not be great, but they do have a solid offensive line that was just destroyed.

As for Lamar, yeah he's good but we always get one running QB that comes along and everyone proclaims the new flavor of the week to be some sort of prototype. RG3, Kaepernick, Vick, etc were all "game changers" for their first few seasons. Defenses are slow to adjust but they will. We'll see how good he is when he can't rely on the run so much.
Still don't believe in Joe.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Niner fan here, and Lamar Jackson scares me.

Our only lost this year was because Russell Wilson was able to scramble and keep plays alive, and Lamar Jackson can certainly do that as well. Add to it that the Ravens defense is also legit. I'm not sold on Jimmy G making tight throws, and he's going to have to do that against Baltimore.

I'm rooting for a Niner win, but I'm legit concerned about Jackson and the Ravens.

The real difference between Lamar and his predecessors is he is an accurate thrower along with the big arm.  He has a 67% completion percentage right now with a yard per attempt of 8.1 and a yards per catch of 12.1.  Those are pretty solid numbers (13th in completion % and 8 and 10 in the others).  He is leading the league in TD passes and TD%.  Then you add his running which is superb (9th in the league in yards and tied for 11th in TD's).  Vick was a career 56% passer with his peak year coming in Philly at 62.6%.  In Atlanta he his best was 56.2%.  And while he was a dynamic runner and had a couple of solid seasons where he finished with a best of 1039 yards and 21st in the league, Jackson is on another level with like 15 more yards per game (thus far).  Even Kaepernick was under 60% passing for his career and he was no where near the runner Jackson is.  Griffin might be the closest comparison and the league didn't figure him out so much as he got hurt in his rookie year and was never the same.  That is the real concern with Jackson i.e. will he be able to stay healthy?
