Just realized - we won with Jaylen out, and with Kemba and Hayward shooting a combined 11-48 - 22.9%.

Also - Kanter was hobbled and a shell of himself. Tatum and Smart carried a load.

We should also keep in mind that they didn’t have PG13 and PatBev. But I think we would have still won if they were there - this team was not going to lose tonight.  :police:

gwill is such an impressive rookie. when you see the highlights, watch him clear out harrell on the tatum dunk at the end of the third quarter. probably got away with a foul but what an impressive veteran play by the rookie. he saw the play developing and cleared the lane for tatum’s drive. did i mention how much i love this team?

All of our bigs do that a lot.  Theis is especially good at it.  It’s one of the reasons that I think he’s a good offensive player despite not being much of a scoring threat.

Was George sitting out a lot of the difference? Does no Jaylen & Tacko for us offset that?

1 all-star (kawhi) is not a match for two all-stars (tatum&smart)

Hayward been having some great games rebounding the ball this season. Fifty 20+/10+ game this year, most he’s had in any season.

agreed, theis is very good at it. i’ve even seen ojeleye do it well, too. clearly, brad has made it a staple of our offense.

it’s impressive how well gwill sees the floor.

Our Bench needs to be restocked with some vets this team is showing that it's a contender. I'm not even sure who we could really get but Someone who can score off of our bench would be nice. The sky is the limit with this squad!
Wanamaker/Smart/Kanter isn't bad for some offense when healthy or not pushed into starting.

It'd be nice if a shooter shook loose. Wanamaker has been really good from deep this year but I'd prefer someone who's more of a 3 point specialist to compliment him.

Another shooter would be nice there are a lot of open shots in our offense.

We managed to win this with zero healthy centers down the stretch. Kanter was pretty hobbled. Grant Williams defense in OT was impressive, despite the size advantage Harrell had on him. He pulled off some huge stops.

I watched very late on DVR and WHAT A GAME!!! Absolutely brilliant, I thought Lou was gonna kill us, then I thought Marcus was gonna kill us, then I thought Shamet was gonna kill us, then none of them killed us!!!

Also kind weird that I never thought Kawhi or PG was gonna kill us, but that's also a testament to how deep the Clippers are.

Incredible performances by Tatum, Kemba, Smart (despite chucking WAY too many bad shots!), and Hayward (after missing 200 open 3s in the first half). Big finish into the All-Star Break. Go Cetltics!!

I think he figured out how to defend Harrell. He got killed multiple times earlier, but at the end, it looks like he knows what to do.

He is a smart guy, he just is the kind of player who is going to have to play hard every play. Once he realizes that I think he will be fine.

I think Tatum is becoming a superstar.

Great win before the break! Get everyone healthy and hopefully get a vet shooter for the bench in a buyout and we be set
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Why did the Clips kept putting Shamet on Tatum in the overtimes? Why not Kawhi? Also, I thought Kawhi was a bit passive, especially in OT. Maybe it was just him recognizing the hot hand in Lou Williams and letting him play.

Great question. Made no sense. Even when Kawhi was on him, they would switch back.

I don't think Kawhi would have fared much better. Dude was flatout gassed. With all the load management, that must be discomforting to see.
