I'll echo everyone else's thoughts of appreciation and willingness to contribute.

I'll say - the site being down for several days during the Luka trade saga, JB/JT clutch game-winning shots, etc. really made he appreciate how much sharing these experiences with this community means. For me, the games are much less exciting without the game threads to share in the ups and downs and thrill of it all.

I couldn't say it any better...so true.  Thanks jpotter33!  and have a TP

I don't really like coffee, or donuts, but I would be totally fine having Dunkin banners everywhere.... mind you that might be preaching to the choir.

I breathe Celticsstrong everyday and it was very odd and sad when the site was down for like 5 days. I can help with a small contribution. Should start a GFMe or something reliable.

On an unrelated side note, I still follow CelticsBlog but it is a weird place now. Also follow this Bleed Green Celtics Facebook group but got a bunch of unreliable weirdos in that group with far worse takes and nonsense than me that I don't even comment.  ;D

Agree. I'm excited to see what the options are and happy to help contribute a bit, but I love reading everyone's analysis on here and would be very sad to see it gone.

Have we tried Google Ad Sense on here instead of current monetization company? What about trying to get a large Boston business like Liberty Mutual to be a sponsor and take over the advertising real estate? Or a ticket company like StubHub,etc....?

Did the same issues occur over the last few days or was this an isolated incident?

Happened to me too. Seems to happen during big news like today's new ownership

NG?thank you for the thought.  Working on some fact and idea gathering behind the scenes with Byennie.  Rest assured once we have a plan the community will be leaned upon heavily for input and support if we are to keep this train rolling.

For now let?s hold off on ideas.

I promise I?ll keep you posted.

I think a lot of us would be willing to contribute in our own ways, GoFundMe or in other ways. Keep us updated!

It's great to see the site back up and running!

With the recent outage and Byennie?s sobering post, I?m wondering if it?s ok with the moderators if we have a thread to address how to sustain the blog?  I don?t think there are too many options to consider, and Byennie laid out a few, but maybe this thread can reveal the support that posters and lurkers have for keeping this going. And what we are willing to contribute to support it.

Tough day for it to be down.  Saw the breaking news, wanted to jump on to chat, but couldn't.

I hope that if the site ever does permanently go down, that we will have notice and time to prepare. Even something like creating a CelticsStrong sub on Reddit could help keep everyone together and give us a chance to reconvene before deciding on that as a solution of finding a more permanent one. I've been in touch with some people on this site for 20 years. It would be weird to just have that vanish one day. It's not like we all have each other's contact information. Maybe most of us would at least try CelticsBlog(?).

Of course I hope to see the site continue on for many years, but there are free and easy options out there. It'd be a bummer to lose the history, format and TPs for sure, though.

Agreed. There is an "official" Facebook page for it but I don't think it's been active lately, plus apparently for posts to be made it needs "mod approval" and I have no clue who they are or if they are even looking at FB  :P
