I'm just throwing it there but my wife is a web designer and she hosts websites.

Hey guys, just wanted to chime in to this thread and say I appreciate the willingness to help. I think cumulatively we have enough resources to get something done, but it will be a matter of stitching them together in a cohesive way / picking a lane that works.

I am going to do a bit of cost analysis on my end. I've tapped a lot of that potential over the past few years to keep things lean, but there are still some "outs" like prepaying for servers to get a discount that I can look into. Stay tuned.

I'm open to any serious inquiries about hosting the site, I will just caution that it's definitely not an off-the-shelf solution, which was one of the reasons CelticsBlog dropped it many years ago. I've got it mostly on auto-pilot, but when something goes wrong you truly have to dig in and engineer a solution because there is no host that will support it directly.

What about eliminating cost and hosting all together? Create a CelticsStrong community in Discord. We can have gamethreads and it will be a lot easier to manage and have no cost associated with it as well. The chat feature in Discord is awesome as well.

I know for me, there?s a bit of nostalgia in the look and feel here, but it?s a dinosaur for sure.  Everything is on the table, but again, just looking together some more info from Byennie at this point.
Yup

I will pass that along to her and tell you what she said. She hosts over 200 sites.

It was weird not having the forums available the last few days. I?ve been a part of this site for 20 years, I remember the original Celticsblog forums. I?ll never forget constantly refreshing during my
2007 family summer vacation when the KG news was breaking. I would definitely contribute if there was a gofundme or something similar. Even if I don?t post as much as I used to, I couldn?t imagine not having this site around.

I don?t have much to add other than to say I would be willing to make a financial contribution to help keep the site alive.   We did that a few years ago and it felt like there was a decent response.
Keep us informed about how we can help.  Thank you Byennie and Redz.

Same. I?d like to keep it as is, if possible.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I'll echo everyone else's thoughts of appreciation and willingness to contribute.

I'll say - the site being down for several days during the Luka trade saga, JB/JT clutch game-winning shots, etc. really made he appreciate how much sharing these experiences with this community means. For me, the games are much less exciting without the game threads to share in the ups and downs and thrill of it all.
