I’m giving myself a pat on the back for this one.  Last year when the Celtics signed all of the extensions, I kept saying how the cap would increase 10% last year to this year.  The official prediction back then was 6-7%.  The NBA upped to it 8.5% in late March, but assuming Keith Smith is right this time, it is indeed 10% like I thought it would be.

He and his agent have done a terrific job at maximizing his earnings.  Question is if he’s gotten himself too well paid to demand a trade to a contender next summer.
