My favorite quote from Laker nation tonight:

Quote
Can Warriors beat the Celtics? Im having a hard time seeing it tbh. Celtics have comparable defense to Memphis while having better offensive players in Tatum and Brown.

This might end up being the worst year in Laker history

You gotta love it!
Not sure which is more fun - the Lakers imploding or beating Pat Riley.  Certainly beating Riley never gets old.

I have to say, Lowry nowadays physically looks like a shorter version of late career Paul Pierce.

So if the Celtics win on Friday they will have 6 days off and there is only one time in the finals where there is a single off day:

June 2: NBA Finals 2022 Game 1
June 5: NBA Finals 2022 Game 2
June 8: NBA Finals 2022 Game 3
June 10: NBA Finals 2022 Game 4
June 13: NBA Finals 2022 Game 5 (If necessary)
June 16: NBA Finals 2022 Game 6 (If necessary)
June 19: NBA Finals 2022 Game 7 (If necessary)

I think with this schedule, the Celtics should be fresh enough to beat the Warriors.
The only color that matters is GREEN

We could surely use that 6 day break. Hopefully we get it done come game 6!

Westbrook for Strus, Robinson, Caleb Martin.

I'm so glad I quit Reddit and have just been ignoring other fan sites.

The heavily critical people on CelticsStrong grinds my gears, but at least they know their basketball and are actually intelligent. These idiot Laker fans thinking other people want their crappy Westbrook contract man.

nobody should apologize for being harsh on brown. great he was good in the 2nd half, but that 1st half is inexcusable
Sure it's excusable? He was THE reason for that dominating offensive streak to end the third and start the fourth. He was difference making. He was game changing. He was game winning. He was series ending with that dunk

You excuse a few turnovers if you get all that other stuff.
have to disagree there.  His TOs were primarily due to stupid/reckless play.  that is not excusable.

Cold shooting?  sure, it happens.  tough defensive assignment.  he typically draws the tougher guy to cover so sure, that can be excused.

once he started playing the way I pointed out in the game thread -- spot up shooter and only 1 or 2 dribble drives, he became a lot more effective on offense.  not saying he was listening to me but when he's having trouble dribbling like he has in these playoffs, C's need to restrict his ballhandling to just what he's really effective at.
I guess I am just a big softie. Not gonna be so harsh on the guy that dominated in the second half and was the biggest reason the Celtics won the game. He learned his lesson and adjusted. No biggie on 4 TOs if you're going to be so dominant that you are THE reason for the win.
understood.  you are the president of the JKJB fan club.  I'm just a lifetime member of the club.

I wouldn't say he was THE reason but his improved play was definitely a key factor

Did Smartacus get injured? Why did he only play 24 min?

I have to watch my DVR I haven’t seen the game yet

He got two fouls in the opening 4 minutes and never really got his rhythm. White was much better than him tonight, and Ime wanted us to go big

He was a bit slow on that injured ankle tonight, and White was rolling so Ime wisely stuck with White.

MIA fans melting down at RealGM. It's not only this series, but that their future looks bleak.
