I feel good but the job's not done. HAVE to come out and take care of business Friday night. Avenge the 2012 ECF where it was a similar situation (3-2 lead, Game 6 at TD Garden) and do not let this get to a road Game 7.

Absolutely.

nobody should apologize for being harsh on brown. great he was good in the 2nd half, but that 1st half is inexcusable
Still don't believe in Joe.

My favorite quote from Laker nation tonight:

Quote
Can Warriors beat the Celtics? Im having a hard time seeing it tbh. Celtics have comparable defense to Memphis while having better offensive players in Tatum and Brown.

This might end up being the worst year in Laker history

Yes. I remember that very well. LeBron went off with 45 points in Game 6.

And 2018 when we were up 3-2 after the Game 5 win at the Garden. I knew we were doomed when LeBron forced Game 7 to be played at the Garden. We need to close out the Heat once and for all. We have no business going back to Miami again this season.

Lol Heat fans are saying they should bench Lowry entirely but I don't think they have a choice especially if Herro is still out or limited in Game 6. Otherwise guys like Butler, Oladipo, Robinson, etc. have to play heavy minutes and I'm not sure they all can

Sure it's excusable? He was THE reason for that dominating offensive streak to end the third and start the fourth. He was difference making. He was game changing. He was game winning. He was series ending with that dunk

You excuse a few turnovers if you get all that other stuff.

Huge win tonight. Butler, to me, looks hurt. Lowry, wow. And no Herro.  Hopefully the crowd can carry the C's Friday night.

People have been implying it in the media, but the Heat are also dealing with injuries but also, their team is on the older side which I'm sure is another factor. Tucker and Lowry are 36-37 year old, Butler is in his 30s. Might not be as easy for those guys to deal with injuries and suit up and go 35+ MPG regularly which they have to since this series is an "every other day" schedule. If there was 3 days off like the C's-Bucks had it would help Miami a ton

Yeah, they're dealing with injuries. But they're also the number 1 seed with home-court advantage. We're also dealing with injuries too, but the C's still got to play through it and through adversity (the refs)

Exactly. 2018 was tough but I could sort of live with it since our young guys were still very young and inexperienced, our key guys were hurt (Kyrie/Hayward) and Game 6 was on the road which is difficult to win as is. 2012 though was very brutal. Last real shot at a title with the Big 3 and then Lebron happened in Game 6 (ugh). I loved seeing Tatum though pull a Lebron Game 6 in the previous series against Milwaukee and I'd like to see him do something similar to close it out this Friday

Brown is a star that can be the second fiddle on a championship team - and hopefully will be.

The frustration between what he is and what fans want him to be is the difference between an all-star and superstar.

I still think Brown is getting better every year too. He might be that player in a couple more years.

have to disagree there.  His TOs were primarily due to stupid/reckless play.  that is not excusable.

Cold shooting?  sure, it happens.  tough defensive assignment.  he typically draws the tougher guy to cover so sure, that can be excused.

once he started playing the way I pointed out in the game thread -- spot up shooter and only 1 or 2 dribble drives, he became a lot more effective on offense.  not saying he was listening to me but when he's having trouble dribbling like he has in these playoffs, C's need to restrict his ballhandling to just what he's really effective at.

I guess I am just a big softie. Not gonna be so harsh on the guy that dominated in the second half and was the biggest reason the Celtics won the game. He learned his lesson and adjusted. No biggie on 4 TOs if you're going to be so dominant that you are THE reason for the win.
