Aggressive move by the Pels, but they have a lot of picks.  Presumably Satoransky and Temple are sent in the deal to match salaries.

The Pels have a lot of picks from the Lakers.  I think it depends what the picks are before it could be classified as a steal.

Update from WOJ:

"There's optimism a deal will be completed -- perhaps as soon as today -- but there's still work to be done to reach an agreement, sources tell ESPN."

Shams now has it as done with Satoransky and Nickeil Alexander-Walker plus picks going with Hart to Portland.

EDIT: Still "finalizing", but he named the other players, which is an update.

I think they keep Lillard.  They now have a clean cap and a bunch of future picks.  They will give Lillard the max extension now and build around him with the other assets.

Shame Boston couldn't get on that and get McCollum.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

When they get Zion back, with Ingrim and Valanciunas, now add McCollum, that is pretty solid.  I wonder if McCollum will be their PG.  If they can add a decent 3 & D type for SG, that is a good team.

Seems like a steal for McCollum. You'd think the Sixers could've had him and others for Simmons.

Saw a report the draft compensation being offered was the 22 Lakers 1st and 23 Pelicans 1st.  So not too bad of pick potential.  So those 2 picks Hart, Satoransky, and NAW.  I'd probably have tried to squeeze another pick or young player out of the Pelicans, but that isn't a bad return for McCollum depending on you view the 3 players (and what if any protections the Pelicans pick has on it).
