This is the fifth time someone linked me this, but it still gives me a lump in my throat.

For those interested in the music, Metallica has made many fine songs and there's a group of four men playing cello's that have covered a lot of them.

Their name is Apocalyptica.

Look 'm up, they're very, very good and the music is very moving.

you're in the loop yo!
Yup

O....M.....G

I've never seen anything like that.

I have to wonder how the music got worked out. She clearly didn't write all of it.

Redz where do you find these things?

My Dad forwarded that one to me.

Funny, I had the volume way down when I was playing it last night and didn't hear the Metallica.
well then here's some TP for the your dad.

Mrs. eja117 informs me that most of the music is famous Russian music.  I think she made referece to children's songs or lullabies

One thing to note is that Russian music can be phenomenally depressing. Lithuania is the suicide capital of the world and many former Soviet Republics suffer from very high alcoholism rates.  While our lullabies can be meaningless rock a by baby and patty cake theirs can be very different

A quick look on Yahoo got me this

Russian lullabies are not sweet songs of innocence. In fact, they can be downright scary. They warn of death, caution against being eaten by wild animals, and invoke protection against evil spirits. With roots in folklore and folkloric superstition and ritual, Russian lullabies share themes with other elements of folklore and evoke ancient folk symbols. Russian lullabies are still sung to babies according to traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation . . . despite the somewhat unsettling nature of their lyrics. One well-known Russian lullaby warns the baby against being carried off into the woods by a wolf.

Infant mortality was high in ancient Russia, and mothers had good cause to attempt to caution, protect, or guide their babies. Whether or not wolves lurked in the woods or witches attempted to give the baby the evil eye, sickness could spread through a village or accidents could occur while the mother worked in the fields. New and vulnerable life faced a multitude of dangers.

Eeeeennnnteresting

That was very cool.  Thanks for sharing.

It reminds me a bit of one of the 60s/70s artists (Peter Frampton?) who did a stop motion film with playdoh (I think it was).
Celtics fan for life.
