I'd be ecstatic if we got Al in the buyout market.
It'd be crazy if he got bought out. I'm not sure how much of his final year is guaranteed. Him on a min deal would be insane off the bench.
He's guaranteed for 14.5 million in his final year. With how OKC look to suck for the next few years I don't think that would be a huge issue.

Not a big issue how?

If he gave $6 million back in a buyout, he would still count as $9 million per year in dead money for the next six seasons.

Yeah I just can't see him giving up that money or OKC swallowing the dead cap hit.

Woj tweeted that the plan is to trade him in the off season.  Horford is not going to be bought out, at least not for the remainder of this season.

Who are we cutting if we sign a buyout player?  Since Tacko and Waters are on 2 way contracts I don’t believe waiving either one will open a 15 man roster spot.

Speculation in the media was Green Kornet.

That would stink just as everyone was warming up to him.  Lol If that happened at least he helped us get at least 1 win.

Yeah, OKC isn’t competing, so they’ll just take someone else’s bad salary to get a pick for Horford.

I would think that who the C’s get in a buyout would have some influence on who gets cut.  If C’s had signed Drummond, Kornet would have been a logical choice. But if C’s could manage to get Otto Porter maybe they keep Kornet.  Can’t teach 7’2”.

I have to wonder when last time Kornet hit 2 straight 3’s.  Not exactly a prolific or particularly good 3-point shooter.

Dieng to the Spurs according to Stein:

Surprising.

Feels like the Celtics are going to wait to see what shakes loose over the next couple of weeks.  Got to believe they’re hoping someone like Porter or Ellington becomes available.

Aldrige to the Nets who continue to build their superteam. Big hope to this turning in a big failure.

Why are we so obsessed getting another center. We have 3 already, one of whom we love, the other two who seem like they can provide decent back up minutes. Kornet helped win the game last night for goodness sakes.

Or maybe they gave up on Drummond after seeing Robert Williams. ;)
