  • "Love is the soul of a true Irishman"
I don't know if this thread will take off or not, but I saw a quote today from Bob Marley and I thought it was really simple yet really effective and I wanted to share it:

Don't gain the world and lose your soul, wisdom is better than silver and gold.
- Bob Marley.

In this thread, I'd like to see you post famous quotes that are inspirational, motivational or just personal favorites. They don't have to be similar to the above example, they just have to be meaningful.

It's amazing what you can accomplish when no one cares about who takes the credit. - Kevin Garnett.

Adversity causes some men to break, and others to break records. William Ward

One of the best lessons I ever took from sports. TP for thread, but I think the KG quote was Wooden(?) or maybe Dean Smith. It was definitely around before KG though.
"Let me call him," Floyd said.

The man shook his head. "O.J. doesn't give out his cell," he said. "He'll call you."

Always been one of my favorites.  It's been credited to Shakespeare, but it's not really a direct quote from any of his works.
Yup
