As I'd suspected, I'd have been so out of my depth here. I have seen exactly one of the shows represented by first round picks. And I saw it once, maybe.

Lol. What a strange demographic you must be. "He doesn't watch The Wire, Breaking Bad, or Deadwood, but he's also never seen Knight Rider or St, Elsewhere...but he's also never watched It's Always Sunny IN Philadelphia? What is this guy watching?!"

I don't have HBO or those other channels. Never have, for some reason.

I'd probably have tried to figure out a sitcom starring Dr. Dre and Ed Lover, with Duff as the cute but goofy neighbor/love interest, and Rikki Rachtman as the bad guy/foil.

But I think badasses are actually more compelling when they don't look like such a badass. When it's through ruthlessness and a unrepentant desire to survive the conflict that drives their badassery, it's more compelling. Omar isn't "Omar" because he has the best shotgun (or biggest axe, or largest biceps), he's "Omar" because Omar is the dude wielding the shotgun, and if you go against Omar, you lose.

That makes some sense, right? I like Daryl Dixon for more of the same reasons I like Omar, even if I don't actually really like The Walking Dead. He's pretty much the only part of that show that I enjoy without reservation. #BoondockSaints4Lyfe
