“The horror! The horror!” ― Joseph Conrad, Heart of Darkness

This is the straw that broke the camel's back, IMO, and there will be controversy and repercussions for weeks to come over this game.

Something has to be done, and soon ... this game and league that we all love will be battered beyond repair if this is allowed to continue.

The integrity has long since evaporated with this absolutely horrible officiating, and this will stand as an example of how not to deal with such problems on a professional level.

Grow up and come to a compromise already ... this is just painful!

Unbelievable.

Please share your thoughts.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
Green Bay was down during the 4th quarter and Seattle had the ball. Then the Packers got an obvious interception, but it was called off (I believe).

Really changed the game. The NBA refs better be taking notes on what NOT to do.

Wow. Just saw the play now on my DVR.

A shame. I thought, with the exception of a bad/phantom PI call against the Packers, that this game had been pretty well officiated.

But the final play inexplicably was ruled, and then upheld by video replay, as a catch by Seattle in the end zone on a jump ball. Nevermind the offensive pass interference by Tate, shoving with two hands a Packer defender in the back to get a clear path to make a play on the ball. Or that the Packers defender clearly had established more control of the ball than Tate had.

It's the Ravens-Pats officiating debacle, multiplied by ten.

Upside: this story will dominate NFL coverage until the Thursday night game. So the heat under Generalissimo Goodell will intensify.

Nothing "Official" posted yet, but this is the last play:

Trust me, this will be all over the news tomorrow ... the rest of the game was full of similar calls.

I thought, with the exception of a bad/phantom PI call against the Packers, that this game had been pretty well officiated.

I thought it featured some of the worst calls I've ever seen in an NFL game.  The simultaneous possession stuff at the end was actually more arguable than most are making out, though the blatant offensive pass interference should have been called.

Before that, however, there was back-to-back holding calls against SEA where the second one was on a player so far away from the play they didn't even have video of it happening and a thoroughly bogus PI call against SEA that kept a Packer drive alive.

The real problem is that no one except Seahawk honks would have complained that much if not for the refs signalling two different things at the end.

Watching the Packers lose has never brought a tear to my eye but they certainly have reason to be pretty peeved.

Extremely borderline call...at best. I don't think it was a simultaneous catch. Sure looked like an INT to me.

NFL needs to bring back the regular referees ASAP.

The NFL is smiling on the inside.

Now more people are going to watch to see what next the replacements will mess up.

Naw, they're annoyed that the conversation will be on the refs again till Thursday at least, maybe longer.

What's going to happen (God Forbid this), is that a superstar will get hurt because of the the officiating - only THEN will something get done.

Lord knows I was on pins and needles in the Washington-St Louis game...that game got a little chippy. You never want to see your star players get into a potential situation that could spiral out of control.

Hopefully something will get done soon to resolve this.

The replacement refs are awful. The NFL needs to get it together on this.

St. Louis is a chippy team. A lot of needling and flopping trying to get personal foul calls.
