Im Flipping between the pats and the Packers game.  I remember last year when i said Manning eli manning didnt deserve the huge contract and ranked Rodgers as a better qb, people on this blog told me to stick to basketball and fantasy football cause i didnt have a clue.

Ya.  I would love to see the d-line anchor a couple back to back stops here to make me feel confident. I havent liked what ive seen so far.

Agree (TP). We got so spoiled by players like Bruschi, Vrabel, Seymour, and Harrison ... it'd be nice to have some of that defensive balance back again.

Based on a pre-season game?

The Colts defense that allowed the Bills to score 21 points in the 1st quarter a week ago?

The Colts defense is playing a bland defense.  (like most teams not named the Jets do in the preseason)  Stats are meaningless at this point.

Now Rodgers is a good QB.

And Manning has earned his contract.

Im not basing it on stats from a preseason game, im basing it off performances last year and what my eyes tell me.  Rodgers has much better pocket presence and sees the field better than manning, hes also better outside the pocket and on the run.

TP.  I remember telling anyone who would listen that Aaron Rodgers would have been a better #1 pick for SF than Alex Smith.  People thought that was just about the wackiest idea ever..... Kudos to GB for picking Rodgers.  I really like him.  And he still flies under the radar, IMHO (eg: most people think Tony Romo is a better QB than Rodgers).
Celtics fan for life.

Also,
Last season, Rodgers had more attempts, passing yards, tds, rushing yards, half as many picks which is impressive since he had more attempts, and he ran for over 300 yards with 5 tds vs 65 yds and no td's for manning.

  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
Thoughts on last night Pats game:
1. At the outset of the game I saw the Patriots trying to establish the run and then going 3 and out. Once they gave up the run they moved the ball. During the regular season we need balance.

1a. I feel like a lot of our lineman are real good pass protectors but not good run blockers

2. Bradford as his receivers were able to consistently find the soft spot in the zone.

3. In order for a 3-4 to be successful you need to have your d lineman command double teams, this is not currently happening.

4. Our pass game is going to be great, but if we score quickly our defense will be on the field the entire game.

5. Cunningham needs to come in and play great to make our defense better.

6. Between G-Force, Crumpler and Hernandez I predict we will have the highest production at the Tight End position in the NFL.

7. With how young this defense is I expect them to get better every game, which doesn't mean they will be good, just that what we saw last night should be the worst of it.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I agree Rogers is a  better QB than Eli Manning.

Bradford as a QB will slice you apart if you don't pressure him, he proved this in College.

I didn't watch the Pats/Rams game but I'm assuming they were playing relatively vanilla?

There defense was aweful.  They couldnt run the ball.  Unless they were holding back or just having an off day us patriots fans are in for a long season
