I said he couldent win without an elite WR and predicted an 8 win season. Going into the final week of the season they are 8-7. Say what you will, but 9 points against the panthers is not an impressive performance.
You were right (or almost right depending on next week) on the record.
Your reason as to why it happened is incorrect though.
No, thats not true. Every year that Manning made had a dominant receiver the Giants made the playoffs right? This year they didnt and if the Cowboys win today will miss the playoffs. I see a pattern there.
Yeah, I agree ... like the
other Manning, Eli is only as good as the talent he's surrounded with. Some QB's are great under pressure and find ways to win no matter how weak their defense or offensive line ... with the Mannings, they're used to getting all the time in the world to throw the ball, and when their receiving and running tools aren't quite so sharp, they struggle. Today is a good example, cuz they both were getting pressured and both kept choking. Peyton has had a number of easy TD passes today and just threw terrible passes, because he's worried about getting his uniform dirty. The only reason the Colts have scored is that the Jets have bailed them out with some horrible fouls. Eli's great when he has an hour-and-a-half in the pocket, but when the defense is getting to him quickly or he doesn't have an elite level wide-out and back, it's a completely different story.
