Well, this certainly isn't encouraging news.
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. – The optimism that reigned Friday afternoon had turned 180 degrees by last night.
The Patriots [team stats] will be severally short-handed when they play the Bills today at 1 p.m., missing at least four starters and two key contributors.
Nose tackle Vince Wilfork [stats] (foot), defensive end Ty Warren [stats] (ankle), guard Stephen Neal (ankle) and tackle Nick Kaczur (shoulder) have all been officially declared “out.”
For good measure, running back Fred Taylor [stats], who had hoped to return from ankle surgery after missing nine games, won’t play. And neither will rookie defensive tackle Myron Pryor (chest), who would have been Wilfork’s backup.
Yeah, this is not good. Players out: Ty Warren, Vince Wilfork, Myron Pryor, Steve Neal, Fred Taylor, Nick Kaczur.
For the Pats to win this, the offense absolutely has to produce, and keep the Bills offense off the field.
I'm thinking there will be a big game by Moss.
