Sounds like a healthy scratch and the indication was that was performance induced.  Sure seems like he 's in Belichick's doghouse right now.

With a projected $9.4 million cap hit next year (from sources I was able to garner), I think Adalius' days as a Patriots are winding down fast.

Agree, On Weei, they were saying BB may think at this point playing Junior in the middle and Guyton on the outside may put them in a better position than Guyton in the middle and Adalius on the outside.  Certainly an interesting development if Junior is more valuable than Adalius

I think I'd give the Adalius situation another week before jumping to conclusions (that is, if he isnt traded this week - Boston.com is throwing out some unsupported rumors/speculation)

I think Bill wanted to try and shake up the team, get a little fire going to say everyone is fighting for your job.

I missed the beginning of the game, but I read that Springs and Bodden didnt start the game.  Again, I see this as a bit of a message to the guys.  Maybe not, but thats just my opinion.

They said that after the Corners were abused by the short passing game last week, BB thought Butler and Willhite may perform better than springs and Bodden.

I was reading that if the Patriots do trade Thomas, it causes all these cap accelerators to kick in that would do some damage.  I'm not sure how much merit is in this is but its definitely something to take into consideration.

One of the comments on the Globes article concerning Galloway was,

"Rumor is, Galloway and Draft pick for Ray Lewis."

Just thought I would share that Gem

If he was traded this season, it would result in a cap hit of 7.26 million.  (http://www.patscap.com/).  If he was cut it would result in 13.2 million in cap hits this year.

I think it is safe to say that financially it makes no sense.

I am really of the opinion that this is solely a message by BB...but we'll see.

The Pats cut Tully Banta-Cain.  Another odd move (or so it would seem - they still have to pay him for the whole year, and he was playing ok).
