40 to 60 MPH winds at the stadium in Buffalo.

Seymour's out.

Any worries for the Pats getting stage 1 of today's checklist out of the way?

Yeah, these conditions are bizarre to say the least. I've never seen wind have this big of an effect on a game before. The Pats just missed a near chip shot, but that Buffalo wide right that started wide left FGA was just ridiculous. It was like something out of a Monty Python skit.

Brett Favre was just so "Brett Favre " on that last pass. He has about as much discipline as I did when I used to play two-hand touch football in the road with one of those Hutch footballs. I loved those things. There's something satisfying about weighing 90 lbs and being able to throw a football about 100 yds.

When Uncle Rico made the claim about being able to throw a football a quarter of a mile in'82, maybe that's what he was talking about.

He made both claims. A quarter of a mile is roughly 4 football fields length wise, while the mountains appeared to be substantially longer. No one, with the exception of maybe Chuck Norris could possibly back up a claim as outrageous as either of the one's made by Uncle Rico.

But with a Hutch?

Back to the topic, Jacksonville is up 7-3 over Baltimore in the second quarter, though I can't say that I have much faith in that game working out for NE.

Edit: And the Ravens just took the lead 10-7. Shocker.

Stage two isn't looking so great.

Yeah but Favre might be hurt. There's still hope.

Edit: I agree with what Chris said.

Who is their backup?

Is anyone else convinced that if they had kept Pennington, this was a 12-13 win Jets team, fighting for home-field for the entire playoffs?

This is absolutely killing me having to pull for the Jets...The Dolphins are just so much more of a likable team.

Kellen Clemens I believe , and yes I think with Pennington this team wins the division. Also, there's a real chance that the Jets lose this game because of a botched extra-point attempt. Well that, and because Favre's decision making is comparable to Vince Carter's shot selection at the NBA All-Star game. Actually, to be fair, Favre's last pick had less to do with recklessness and more to do with just regular old suckiness.

Emphasis on the word old.
