I agree. Thought this excerpt stood out…

I also want to point out, the team had nearly 100M in cap space and needs at many positions. They barely addressed certain positions and still have nearly 40M in cap space, and most of their signings were keeping the same guys they had. So I guess it wasn't Belichick the GM, but Kraft limiting spending? Because of course that lighthouse is expensive!  ::)

Kraft's shields are now gone. No one is gonna blame Mayo or the new staff if things go awry, a lot will go Kraft's way. Good luck.
