He has actually worked hard on his dribbling and improved a lot, but it’s still sub par.  I think it is what it is at this point.  His poor passing is because of his poor court vision.  I think that’s kind of an innate thing.

Just think, either the Denver Nuggets who have never won an NBA championship or 8th seeded Miami are going to win a championship before this Celtics team who have gone to several ECFs over the past few years including a chance in the finals last year.

Run it back, hope Tatum and Brown get better.

Also hope Brown doesn't hurt his wrist, Brogdon doesn't tear a tendon, Tatum doesn't turn his ankle, and the entire team doesn't forget how to shoot.

lol screw that

Brown + Smart + Timelord + PP + all the picks for Lillard

Starters: Lillard, White, Tatum, Gallinari, Horford

Bench: Brogdon, Hauser, Muscala, maybe GWill if you re-sign him.

Find a way to add another big man but I’d love that team

I like Damian Lillard a lot. But I'm not in love with the idea of trading for a 33 year old and hasn't finished a season due to injury over the past 2 seasons. Do we think he's going to get more durable as he ages?

I'm over small, offense only, injured point guards. We should be over that experience as a fanbase.
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

I think durability concerns may be exaggerated by Portland’s willingness to sit him to lose games.

I also think that gets us over the hump. Two of the top 10 offensive players in the competition will carry us a long way. He’d suit the three ball freedom here too

Trade Brown and Smart. Acquire a high-quality power forward / center and a few defenders/shooters who are hard-core competitors.
Start Brogdon & White in the backcourt. Let Horford be 6th man and quit asking Tatum to be our leader. Let him do what he is good at and get the whole leader pressure off him.

Get a pro, NBA experienced GM and replace Brad.

Well guys, we still have Danilo Gallinari who will return next season by training camp. But he hasn't touched a pro-ball in over a year, I'll be concerned of his contributions to start. And who knows how he'll hold up with multi-ACL injuries.

Other than that, the rest of this squad don't look promising. Moves needa be made. I refuse to stand pat and let this team run its course again. Or else it will be a first/second-round exit next season.

#JTJB (Just Trade Jaylen Brown)
#JFJM (Just Fire Joe Mazzulla)

Fire Joe (or demote him, whatever works) - hire a new head coach with a real staff and experienced assistants.

Let go of the all-3s all the time approach of the offense.  If that means a complete overhall of the offense, lets do it.
We are so far away from a sustainable, flexible offensive approach that I think they just need to start over.

Run actual plays!  Plays require setting good screens, off ball movement, getting the defense to move.  We are pretty crappy at most of that.  We are terrible screeners, we don't move ANYONE away from the ball, and we let every def we play off the hook because 3-4 of them can just stand there the whole shot clock.  Since we are crappy at a lot of that stuff, we need to learn it, and practice it and become experts at it.

It is sadly not possible, unless Brad Stevens has mastered the art of hypnosis

  • Toss one leg over to the other side of the hump.
  • Steady yourself.
    • Use your other leg to launch your weight onto the leg that is over the hump.
    • Steady yourself again, and roll onto the other side of the hump
